AdClear Privacy Policy

AdClear is a Chrome extension designed to block advertising and tracking requests and hide advertising containers on web pages.
Data Stored Locally
AdClear stores the following data locally in the user's browser:
- Extension settings
- Site allowlist entries
- Manual element hiding rules created by the user
- Remote rule version metadata
- Cached remote filtering rules
This data is used only to provide the extension's ad blocking and element hiding features.
Remote Rule Updates
AdClear checks https://removead.yzinf.net for public filtering rule updates. These requests are used to download rule metadata and rule JSON files.
The extension does not send the user's browsing history, page contents, personal information, account data, or manually hidden selectors to this service.
Remote Code
AdClear does not download or execute remote JavaScript or WebAssembly. Remote updates are filtering rule data only.
Data Sharing
AdClear does not sell user data.
AdClear does not use user data for advertising.
AdClear does not transfer user data to third parties for unrelated purposes.
